Your Business Plan is Worthless If It’s Not Making You Money.

I don’t care how nicely written your business plan is… or who helped you write it.

If you don’t have a solid current media marketing strategy behind you your products won’t be sold.

What worked in the 80’s isn’t the most effective strategy for today.

Why waste your money blanketing and hoping, when you can make money targeting and converting?

I personally know people that spent $50,000 – $70,000 on old media like radio and saw no ROI. Well, they had some of their friends text them saying “I heard your ad on the radio.” (Try keeping your business opened with that).

I also know people personally who on a small scale spend $5,000-$7,000 on new media and made $60,000 in less than a week.

See the difference between new media and old media isn’t that old media doesn’t work. Old media works by blanketing the market and hoping people want the product.

Problem is it cost a lot of money to throw a blanket on millions of people, to only find out just a few hundred wanted the product in the first place.

The Power Of New Media

With new media instead of blanketing and waiting, there’s targeting and converting! It’s very cost effective to target the few hundred or thousand that actually want, and are actively seeking, your product or service.

For example, one of my clients sells homes. I know, and have access to send marketing messages to, over 70,000 people that want to buy houses in the county my client sells homes. And no I’m not talking about a Facebook audience (though Facebook could be a small part of this strategy) targeting people likely to buy a home is “x” county. It’s much more precise targeting… which is why our clients get results.

Back to the what I’m saying. My client’s agents told me personally selling 30-50 homes a year, or $150,000 – $250,000 in revenue, would be a good year for an agent.

Wouldn’t you agree targeting the 70,000 people actively seeking to purchase a home with a solid marketing strategy would my client could convert 30-50 sales?

Remember Why You Got Into Business

So see business plans are cool. But marketing strategies and solutions using new media is where you will actually make money.

If I’m not mistaken you’re not in business to plan, you’re in business to make money, not to be sold a business plan. Correct?
